Is your child looking for a creative and fun activity? The Lessonologist is now offering sewing classes for kids in grades three through eight. Sewing provides children with the opportunity to learn a myriad set of skills that will stay with them throughout their lives. They gain personal character traits including patience, perseverance, focus, and creativity. Learning to sew also compliments the academics students are learning in school. They get to use math skills in a real life situation and are given opportunities to practice reading, problem solve, and follow directions. Most importantly students gain self-confidence as they create and complete projects. The inspiring sewing teacher featured in the video below demonstrates why sewing is an important skill for kids to learn.
