Join our learning pods for the 2024-25 school year!  Learning pods offer children a unique educational experience where both their academic and social needs can be met.  Pods are a great option for students who want a classroom experience with more personalized attention, need to catch up due to the pandemic or have an IEP.  The pod focuses on math, reading and writing.

Four and two day options are available for K-3rd grades.   The Lessonologist school year begins August 5 and runs for six six-week sessions. 

 Our students participate in both individual and collaborative learning activities using the following curriculum materials:

Reading – The Logic of English program is used to develop phonemic awareness and to learn phonics.  High frequency words, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency are also emphasized.

Math – Math in Focus and Saxon are excellent programs available to help children gain a solid foundation that will support more advanced math in higher grades.  Students acquire math skills using hands-on manipulatives and math graphic organizers.  Children will grow in math fluency as they learn and gain an understanding of operational algorithms and essential facts.

Language Arts – includes reading, literature, writing, grammar, spelling, handwriting, vocabulary building, and research skills.  Easy Grammar, Michael Clay Thompson, and commonlit.org encourage students to become confident in their developing communication skills.  Students read contemporary as well as classic children’s literature.
