Join the Lessonologist for a wonderful story and stem project! We will read “If I Built a School” written by Chris Van Dusen. It’s a whimsical tale about a boy who believes his current school is quite boring and uses his vivid imagination to dream up innovative solutions to the issues he sees. On the other hand, his teacher isn’t as impressed, although deep down she is probably intrigued by many of his fanciful ideas. As a teacher, I can see implementing some of those ideas and a few of my own! Now, it’s your child’s turn to listen to and discuss the story with friends. After the story and discussion, children will complete the STEM project and create their own school.
K-2nd grades will meet on June 28, and 3rd-5th grades will meet on June 29. Both groups will meet from 10:00-11:30am. The event is being held in the Lessonologist’s learning space in Surprise. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate with their child. This is your time to visit the learning space, meet the teacher, and ask questions about the learning pods and tutoring services.
A $7.00 fee covers STEM project supplies and can be paid through PayPal or Apple Pay. Participants will take home their project and a packet with further activities to complete. Receipts for ESA will be provided at the event. Each session is able to accommodate 8 participants.
